1956
Richard Pollen (MD), ’60 (Res) is a senior
partner with Potomac Physician Associates in Kensington, Md., and suburban Washington,
D.C. He writes that he is still working full time in internal medicine and endocrinology
“with no plans to retire.” In addition, he says, “I have five
wonderful grandchildren!”
1963
Joseph (Joel) Andrews (MD) gave a talk, “Colonial
and Revolutionary Jews: A 350-Year Perspective by a Descendant,” at Congregation
Kerem Shalom in Concord, Mass., last January.
1964
Robert Tatelbaum (MD), ’69 (Res) was appointed
chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Rochester General Hospital.
1968
Jim LoGerfo ’68M (MD) (see ’64RC undergraduate).
1976
Richard Paris (MD) was named the 2005 Family Physician
of the Year by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Richard is a physician
in Hailey, Idaho, and teaches in the University of Washington School of Medicine’s
Rural/ Underserved Opportunities program and the Rural Integrated Training Experience
program.
1977
Steve Nordeen (PhD) writes, “I am codirector
of the Prostate Cancer Research Laboratories at the University of Colorado Health
Sciences Center, and I’ve also been appointed director of the Cancer Biology
Graduate Program.” . . . Donald Senger (PhD)
is a member of Peregrine Pharmaceuticals’ scientific resource board.
1980
Neurologist Robert Margolis (Res) has joined Barnes-Jewish
St. Peters Hospital in St. Peters, Mo. Robert also teaches clinical neurology
at Washington University in St. Louis.
1983
Alan Cutler (Flw) (see ’77RC graduate).
1984
Philip Marra (Res), a neurological surgeon, has
joined Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, N.Y.
1985
John Thomas (Res) is secretary-treasurer and medical
director of rehabilitation, industrial, and sports medicine services at St.
Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, N.Y.
1988
Leslie Bunce (Res) is director of medical affairs
for INC Research.
1990
Charles Boustany (Flw) was elected to the 7th
District Congressional seat representing southwestern Louisiana. Charles retired
from private practice as a cardiovascular surgeon. . . . Anne
Marie Stilwell (MD) (see ’86RC undergraduate).
1991
Matteo LoPreiato (Res) opened a private pediatric
practice in Berlin, Conn., his hometown, earlier this year. Previously, he had
a practice in Pittsford, N.Y., for 14 years.
1994
Denise Paasche (Res) has been elected to the board
of directors of The Gathering Place, an adult day center in Brattleboro, Vt.
In 2000, Denise opened the Maplewood Family Practice, also in Brattleboro, with
her husband, Tony Blofson. . . . Saul Weingart (MD)
is vice president and director of the Center for Patient Safety at the Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute in Boston.
2003
Wael Garine (Pdc) opened a private dental practice
in Jupiter, Fla., last year.
2004
Laurie Griesinger (MPH) (see ’00RC undergraduate).
. . . Jacqueline Guerrero (MD) is completing a
four-year internship-residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Kaiser Hospital
in Los Angeles.
