1970
Keith Knox ’75 (PhD) writes that he has
been promoted to the position of chief scientist at Boeing’s Maui Space
Surveillance Site. “My wife, Dale Stewart,
and I have been enjoying life in the Hawaiian Islands since I joined Boeing
in July 2003. Our two sons, Stewart ’04
and Russell, who is in the Class of 2006 at Rochester, are on the cusp of heading
out into the ‘real world.’”
1971
Harry Melkonian taught a course in comparative
constitutional law at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, last May. Harry
and his family also helped distribute 280 wheelchairs in Western Samoa on behalf
of Wheelchair Foundation Australia.
1972
Michael DiPaolo writes, “I recently had
my first book published: The Six-Day Horror Movie: A No-Nonsense Guide to
No-Budget Filmmaking. Drawing on my own experiences from more than 20 years
making underground features, the book encourages young filmmakers to make their
own films their way. The book shows there’s more than one way to skin
the proverbial Hollywood cat.”

John Hewitt is CEO and president of AB Watley
Group and AB Watley Direct. John is a founder of the brokerage firm Soleil Securities
Group and was president of Knight Securities.
1974
David Noskowitz is senior director of regulatory
affairs and quality assurance at Synta Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he was director
of regulatory affairs at Genzyme Corp. . . . Harvey Spencer
and his wife, Susan Mount ’90, announce
the birth of their second child, Jessica Mollie, who joins her older sister.
Harvey writes, “We both work in the Los Angeles area.”
1975
David Farmelo, a partner at the Buffalo law firm
of Hodgson Russ, was elected chair of the National School Boards Association’s
Council of School Attorneys. David also is an ex officio member of the NSBA’s
board of directors. . . . Robert Greshes writes,
“My wife, Yuki, and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our first
child, Jocelyn Saki, on February 20, in New York City. She’s a doll!”
1976
Harry Klane is eastern regional sales manager
for SLS International, a manufacturer of sound systems, based in Springfield,
Mo.
1977
R. James Goldstein writes, “I have been
promoted to professor in the Department of English at Auburn University in Aburn,
Ala.” . . . Sculptor Jonathan Hertzel had
several of his works displayed at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Philadelphia
last spring. . . . Jeffrey Tischler ’78S
(MBA) is CFO of Acies Corp., a payment processing and online banking service.
Previously, Jeffrey was vice president of Asta Funding.

Bob Bly is coauthor, with Bo Dietl, of Business
Lunchatations: How an Everyday Guy Became One of America’s Most Colorful
CEOs . . . and How You Can, Too! It’s Bob’s 61st book. . .
. Mark Levine, a family practitioner, is director
of the health department for Henrico County in Virginia. . . . Rich Schollmann writes that
he is vice president of state government affairs for Comcast Corp. in Washington,
D.C.
