Dear Colleagues:
Please note, we will not be accepting any internal applications for the NSF Regional Innovation Engines (NSF 24-565) limited submission opportunity for Type-2 proposals last round of the year.
The last round of the NSF Engines program has two funding mechanisms:
- NSF Engines Development proposals (previously called Type-1 proposals). The call for this opportunity went out last year, and a team at the University of Rochester was awarded funding. The purpose of the NSF Engines Development funding is to allow awardees time to plan and write a proposal for the 2nd type of funding mechanism, which is the:
- NSF Engines proposals (previously called Type-2 proposals). The current open call is for this opportunity.
Awardees of the UR Type 1 proposal are currently working on submission for the Type 2 proposal. Thus, we are not accepting any additional internal applicants for this call.
Regards,
Office of the Vice President for Research
