Area of Focus: High School Science (Biology/Life Sciences)
Ana has been a a high school biology teacher in the Bronx since 2019. During her graduate studies, Ana was a participant in a NOYCE program, which inspired her commitment to mentoring and supporting new teachers as they enter the profession.
Ana’s teaching philosophy centers on discovery-based learning and student-led lessons, where curiosity and critical thinking drive classroom engagement. She believes that empowering students to take ownership of their learning leads to deeper understanding and lasting interest in the life sciences.
