Designing Groupwork: Strategies for Heterogeneous Classrooms (Cohen & Lotan, 2014)
In this Professional Learning offering we will build on designing group work practices. This course is meant to be accessible to teachers across different curricular areas and grade levels. Our primary resource will be “Designing Groupwork: Strategies for the Heterogenous Classroom” by Elizabeth G. Cohen & Rachel A. Lotan (2014). During our six sessions, participants will engage in a variety of activities including: 1) Protocols to debrief reading 2) Modeling classroom group work routines in contents to let participants experience the work 3) Opportunities for matching protocols explicitly to specific content, lessons, and classroom routines.Book Study Details
