Dylan Fedell – Keynote – Thursday evening, March 26

Dylan Fedell is a science educator serving Palisades High School in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania, where he teaches chemistry, physics, and engineering to grades 9–12. With over thirteen years of experience, he is passionate about connecting science learning to students’ everyday lives through innovative, real-world contexts and student-led initiatives. Through the NSF-funded USTRIVE project, Dylan developed a curriculum that integrates socioscientific issues into physics instruction, empowering students to analyze and act on community challenges. His current work is focused on making socioscientific learning not only community-based but also globally informed, enriching his students’ perspectives on science and citizenship in an interconnected world. Dylan was honored with the 2023 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) and holds a B.S. in Secondary Education from Delaware Valley College and an M.Ed. in Science Education from Arcadia University.
