Teacher Leader Cadre Program

A program to empower STEM Teacher Leaders

This program is designed to support Noyce Master Teaching Fellows (MTF) and MTF Alumni in expanding their sphere of influence to reach early career STEM teachers located in the Northeast through structured professional learning activities and partnerships.

Cadre Participation Requirements

  • Open to all Track 3 Noyce Master Teaching Fellows (MTF) and MTF alumni in Northeast Region of the United States (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont)
  • Commitment to lead at least one of the following activities:
    • Facilitation of a Professional Learning Activity (e.g., Professional Learning Communities, Video Clubs, or other proposed virtual activities.
      • Typically about 12 hours of facilitation over the course of the school year
    • STEM Teaching Partnership (Supporting early-career STEM teachers in a 1:1 setting)
      • Typically about 4 hours of support for each partnership
    • Facilitation of a breakout session at the Philadelphia Conference (March 2026)
  • Commitment to participate in periodic Cadre Leadership Meetings to support you in the planning and facilitation of your activities.

Compensation

Cadre members will be compensated as consultants of the University of Rochester. Hourly rates for planning and facilitation of activities will be determined upon joining the Teacher Leader Cadre

Opportunities within the Teacher Leader Cadre

Facilitate Online Professional Learning

Design and facilitate online professional learning such as video clubs, PLCs, and book studies during the 2025-2026 school year.

Become a STEM Teaching Partner

Support an early career STEM teacher by becoming their critical thinking partner.

Present at the 2026 Conference in Philadelphia

Design and facilitate a conference session to be presented at our annual conference in March of 2026.
