What was your favorite Rochester experience?
Hard to say. The University provided me with such a diverse set of opportunities - both academic and social. My internship at the med center was incredible and allowed me to explore alternative careers in science, research, and health care. My senior year internship with the United Way of Greater Rochester introduced me to supporting diverse communities beyond our campus. Working at Wilson Commons helped me to develop strong leadership and organizational skills, while building bonds and life-long friendships.

What are you most proud of about your University of Rochester education?
I am most proud of the diversity of experiences afforded me, both academic and social, and how they have influenced my life. The U of R is at the core of who I have become and drive my desire to pay it forward to make our UR family “Ever Better”.
How do you live the Meliora values everyday?
Pay it forward through mentorship, partnership, and creativity. Invest in people and build community. Stay engaged.
What’s one thing you learned about yourself during your time at Rochester?
The University and my experience taught me resilience and that I can use my abilities to accomplish so many different things.
What advice would you give an incoming student?
Be open to the possibilities.
Why did you choose to study at the University of Rochester?
I came in as a pre-med major and was drawn by the prestige and opportunities offered by its connection to the Med school, as well as incredible faculty. The beauty of the campus was also a draw. I stayed because the University became “home” and offered the chance to explore different paths.
