The Center supports basic research, technology, product, and service innovation, manufacturing efficiency, process improvement, and other key businesses activities.

The Center helps to increase the pool of well-trained data scientists by providing undergraduate and graduate students with experiential learning opportunities in partnership with industry.

The Center encourages public/private data science initiatives involving industry and faculty from the Goergen Institute for Data Science at the University of Rochester and other New York State institutions with the goal of creating economic impact based on collaborative research in data science.

The Center supports the development and execution of public policies and programs to improve the health and welfare of New York State residents.
