“We know that the gold standard treatment for liver metastasis is surgery,” says Roberto Hernandez-Alejandro, a professor of surgery. Website connects faculty research mentors with undergraduates
Are you looking to recruit undergraduates to participate in a research activity during the fall semester? The Office of Undergraduate Research in collaboration with RocLab, a student software development club, has created AURA, a new website that connects faculty research mentors with interested undergraduates using a simple and intuitive web interface.
AURA allows research mentors to easily advertise research opportunities and identify students who are best qualified for their projects. Positions posted on AURA will be viewable on the Office of Undergraduate Research website and advertised on the office’s social media platforms.
Did you know that daily mindfulness practice can help to decrease perceived stress, and improve quality of sleep, self-compassion, mood, and academic performance in both college and graduate students? Learn the fundamentals of mindfulness meditation during the next Koru mindfulness four-week workshop. Participants will learn about and practice two new meditation techniques weekly, and bring more mindfulness and gratitude into their lives. Four sessions are beginning in early September. Registration is required. This is open to all University students, faculty, and staff, and is brought to you by the Mindful University Project.
Lisa Norwood ’86, ’95W (MS) retires this month after more than 26 years as the assistant dean of undergraduate studies at the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.
