What would your colleagues say about your sharing skills?
Sending large files can be taxing on email systems and those on the receiving end. There is an easier way to seamlessly share your documents or files internally and externally. Visit University IT’s Box page to learn about the collaboration tool with helpful tutorials to guide you along the way. For more extensive or sensitive file transfers, faculty and staff can refer to their security liaison for assistance to ensure proper transfer protocol is being followed.
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) trainee support committee will host a support group meeting on Zoom on Thursday, July 21, from noon to 1 p.m. EDT to create a safe space for AAPI graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to check in, share experiences, and support one another. Drop in at any time. Register in advance to attend; you’ll receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting.
All members of the Rochester community interested in learning more about AAPI stories can subscribe to an email listserv and share their stories in a newsletter here. To join in efforts, complete this form.
Nominations are now open for district representatives of the Genesee Staff Council, a group that builds on the University’s Meliora values of equity and openness. The council discusses issues important to University staff and shares perspectives with senior administration. Serving on the council is open to full-time and part-time staff in non-medical divisions. Nominate yourself or a staff member by July 31. Each participating University division has an allocated number of representatives; refer to the council website for details and a printable nomination flyer.

Face masks are optional for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors indoors. Patient care areas, as well as University shuttles and transportation, continue to require masking.
