Acting intentionally to promote the vision and values of the University, and to provide a positive environment for employment and to promote engagement
The Genesee Staff Council was created in 2019 as a partnership between the University’s Human Resources and the Office of Equity and Inclusion. For the first time in the University’s history, staff now have a representative voice and get a seat at the table.
The Genesee Staff Council representatives are a diverse group, serving across 11 non-medical departments.
The mission of the Genesee Staff Council is to facilitate active and direct communication between University staff and senior administration and to provide a forum for input and discussion of issues important to the staff and the University. The Council is composed of a group of diverse staff from across various University offices and academic departments.
