Warner School earns national accreditation for educator preparation programs
Applications for the 2025 Child Care Subsidy will be accepted from Friday, August 9, through Monday, August 26. The program was created to assist eligible faculty and staff with child care expenses by providing awards of up to $3,600 a year, depending on totalhousehold gross income, through the Dependent Care FSA. If you received the subsidy in 2024, you must reapply for 2025. Have additional questions? New and early career instructor teaching community
Instructors can join this Teaching Center community to develop their teaching identity, learn evidence-based practices, and document and reflect on their teaching for iterative growth. Eligible instructors teach courses that enroll students in the School of Arts & Sciences or Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences, are in their first three years of teaching at Rochester, and are on a multi-year contract (e.g., tenure track, instructional track, lecturer, two-year visiting assistant professor). The community will meet in person six times during the fall semester on Tuesdays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Learn more and register here.
Updates to tuition benefit salary bands
Effective fall 2024, income levels will increase for the three employee tuition benefit salary bands for regular full-time and part-time faculty and staff. The annual index for the salary bands is based on changes in the national average wages as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. For more information, visit the Tuition Benefits website.
The River Campus Libraries wants to send you to the virtual 2024 Open Education Conference, October 8–10. Each year, the conference offers the opportunity to share and learn more about open educational resources, open pedagogy, and initiatives that seek to foster universal access to information and knowledge. This year, the libraries will sponsor the attendance for five individuals. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to fill out an interest form by Friday, August 23.
