UR Financials, UR Procurement, and UR Student (Workday) upgrades this weekend
UR Financials, UR Procurement (P2P), and UR Student perform system upgrades every March and September. The system will be temporarily unavailable to complete upgrade activities from Friday, September 20, from 9 p.m. through Saturday, September 21, at 8 a.m. The University Support teams will do the final configuration and system validation on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A full maintenance schedule is available here. After the upgrade, details on any change will be available within the system’s announcements.
University Health Service (UHS) provides guidance for students on what actions to take if COVID-19 symptoms emerge, answering questions such as “What should I do if I think I might have COVID?,” and “Should I take a COVID test?” The CDC recommends the COVID-19 booster, and while UHS does not have it, it is available for free at pharmacies in the community.
National Voter Registration Day tables
Staff from the Center for Community Engagement and students from the Committee for Political Engagement will be tabling at several locations today, September 17, for National Voter Registration Day. They are offering all students eligible to vote the information and the resources necessary to do so, including voter registration and voter education information, such as how to request an absentee ballot for students who register at locations other than Rochester. The tabling schedule is as follows:
Library Road (behind Gleason Library), 10 a.m. to noon
Rocky’s Lounge, Wilson Commons, noon to 2 p.m.
Evans Lam Square, Rush Rhees Library, 3 to 5 p.m.
Danforth Dining Center, 5 to 7 p.m.
Additionally, the Monroe County Board of Elections will host an early voting site during the early voting period at Staybridge Suites, 1000 Genesee Street, from Saturday, October 26, through Sunday, November 3.
Warner School virtual information session for international applicants
Join a Warner School of Education and Human Development virtual information session for international applicants from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, to explore the variety of graduate program offerings, including applied behavior analysis, counseling, educational leadership, education policy, health professions education, higher education, human development, online teaching, program evaluation, and teaching. The Health Promotion Office invites all graduate students to the Graduate Student Wellness Fair on Thursday, September 19, between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Discover wellness supports on and off campus, engage in interactive activities like virtual reality mindfulness, and meet some adorable therapy dogs. Biometric screenings through Well-U are available today, September 17, in Sarah Flaum Atrium from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, or call (585) 275-6810 to reserve your spot.

‘How to Publish in the Humanities’ series
The “How to Publish in the Humanities” series focuses on the business and logistics of publishing. Although the target audience includes undergraduate and graduate students, anyone can attend. All events will be held in person from 3 to 4 p.m. in Rush Rhees Library, Humanities Center, Room D. The series is funded by the River Campus Libraries’ iZone “Make it Happen” grant.
