How student workers need to prepare for myURHR

myURHR is the University’s new modernized Human Resources information system that will replace HRMS on December 16. It will be powered by Workday and UKG, two market-leading software programs, that will help to unify HR applications and processes across the University community.

To prepare for the myURHR UKG implementation, students who are employed by the University need to log in to MyPath and complete myURHR Core Concepts and Navigating in the myURHR Workday course along with Time Entry in the myURHR UKG course. For additional information, visit the FAQ section for student workers on the myURHR website.

Winter Break registration, dining

Campus housing during winter break will be available to all students residing in campus housing for fall 2024 who also have a housing contract for the spring 2025 semester. Students stay in their existing housing assignment. Students choosing to remain on campus for part or all of Winter Break, December 19 through January 16must register online by December 9; they will be charged a $400 fee to support the operation and maintenance of the residence halls. This fee will be added to student financial accounts in UR Student and will be due by January 10.

Financial support is available for students with demonstrated financial need (those currently receiving federal or institutional need-based assistance using the 2024–25 financial aid application) and will be applied on a sliding scale. Aid will be provided based on the student’s level of need, ranging from 0 to 100 percent coverage of the $400 fee. Please contact your financial aid counselor if you have questions about your level of aid. Students with financial hardship may also request support through the Basic Needs Hub.

Winter Break Housing does not require a meal plan. Dining Services will have limited on-campus eating venues available, operating with reduced hours. A schedule of hours and services will be available online. Fall meal plans end after service on December 19. Dining dollars from fall meal plans will continue to be active during the Winter Break period. Students will be responsible for food expenses and may add dining dollars to their accounts. Spring meal plans begin January 16.

If you are facing food insecurity you may request food support through the Basic Needs Hub by December 9 and utilize the Food Pantry.
