SCHOLARSHIPS

The School of Medicine and Dentistry chooses only the top
students from a wide pool of applicants, but many students
must choose to attend the university that offers them the most
scholarship dollars. Your gift can help us compete for the top
students more effectively, while reducing the debt students carry
after graduation.

RESEARCH INNOVATION FUNDS

Funding to support a laboratory or research project is vital to
helping our scientists, post-doctoral fellows, laboratory technicians,
and graduate students find better treatments and cures. You can
support a young investigator, a new idea, the continuation of
promising science, or a collaborative team working across
disciplines on innovative discoveries and advances that will
impact people around the world.

GEORGE HOYT WHIPPLE SOCIETY AND GEORGE EASTMAN CIRCLE

The George Hoyt Whipple Society recognizes donors who support
the School of Medicine and Dentistry with an annual gift of $1,500
or more. The Whipple Society is dedicated to the preservation and
advancement of medical education, a cause to which George Hoyt
Whipple, the School’s first dean, devoted his life. Members of the
Whipple Society who make a five-year pledge to support the School
with an unrestricted annual gift of $1,500 or more are also recognized
as George Eastman Circle members. Your giving allows the dean to
apply funds to areas of greatest need or those showing the greatest
potential in education, research, or patient care. With gifts like
these you ensure that we are able to prepare physicians and scientists
in the traditions that are hallmarks of a Rochester education.
