A MESSAGE FROM OUR VOLUNTEER LEADER

Nothing is quite like a Rochester education. As a graduate of the School of
Medicine and Dentistry, I have many fond memories and can attest to the value
of this special place. Here, health care leaders are developed under the careful
guidance and mentoring of teachers whose greatest love is to prepare the next
generation of health care professionals. These individuals will discover new ways
of treating disease, deliver exceptional medical care, and save countless lives with
a keen sense of the focus and compassion needed to truly care for a patient.

This institution was built on the philanthropy of those who envisioned a medical
school whose teachers were dedicated to its students and their paths in patient
care, teaching, or research. Because of the steadfast support of alumni and friends,
that vision remains just as strong today as it was when the School’s first class
began in 1925. The School continues to rise in the annual rankings of the nation’s
