More about the position
The University of Rochester has completed its search for a distinguished scholar to be the University’s next Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Reporting to the President, the Provost will work collaboratively on developing and promoting a strategic academic vision for the future of the University.
The Provost must be an innovative leader who is committed to faculty and student success, and will cultivate connections across the University to enhance and strengthen the excellence of the academic and research enterprise. This individual should have proven administrative skills, and will play a central role in evaluating the University’s budget model.
The Provost job role will also be a passionate champion of the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will lead with understanding and mutual respect.
