Experience Rochester: Global Economic Outlook after COVID-19

Join Narayana Kocherlakota, the Lionel A. McKenzie Professor of Economics, and Clifford W. Smith, Jr., the Louise and Henry Epstein Emeritus Professor, for their analysis on current events and the global economic outlook as the world begins to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. These leading scholars of monetary economics, financial economics, and corporate financial policy will draw on their unique experiences in the policy world and academia to provide insight on some of the most pressing issues facing the world economy and policymakers today including unemployment, inflation, digital currencies, and supply chain disruptions.

Sevin Yeltekin, Dean of Simon Business School, will moderate a conversation with Professors Kocherlakota and Smith and facilitate audience questions.

School of Nursing Clare Dennison Lecture: Serving the Community During a Pandemic

Yvette Conyers ’07N, DNP, MS, RN, FNP-C, CTN-B, is committed to addressing the social determinants of health in the work towards social justice, especially in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Conyers has been a registered nurse since 2003 and a certified nurse practitioner since 2013, practicing clinically and completing in-home risk assessments. The goal of her work is to ultimately reduce health care disparities and bring both clinical and academic work together, utilizing the culturally linguistic and appropriate services (CLAS) approach. In her role as President of the Rochester Black Nurses Association, Inc. Conyers brings passion and dedication to improving the number of students from underrepresented groups to careers in nursing.
