Yes! Alumni, parents, and friends are encouraged to get the entire family in the Meliora spirit. A variety of the weekend’s events are designed for children of all ages.
Where do I pick up my tickets and registration information?
We’ve gone paperless–there is no longer any packet pickup or printed tickets. Instead, check in at any Meliora Weekend kiosk location on one of our four campuses to print your name badge (which includes a custom QR code and event tracker) and pick up your free gift.
I have some particular needs related to accessibility. What should I do?
The University of Rochester is committed to making its campuses accessible to persons with disabilities, however at this time, not all areas are fully accessible. Please contact us if you have specific needs and we will assist you. We’ll also have maps of ADA accessibility at on-site registration during the weekend.
Is handicap parking available?
Yes. Once you arrive on campus, parking staff can direct you to the closest available handicap parking space. You must have a government-issued handicap parking sticker in order to utilize these spaces. If you request handicap parking when you register, we’ll provide you with more information closer to the weekend.
What if I have an emergency or need first aid?
Pick up a Blue Light Emergency Phone or dial x13 from any other University phone. From an on-campus pay phone or your cell phone, dial (585) 275-3333.
What is a simulcast?
A simulcast is a closed-circuit broadcast of an event in real time, in a different location than the event itself. We offer simulcasts of some of our most highly-attended events to be sure that all Meliora Weekend attendees have the opportunity to partake in the events of their choice.
When should I arrive to an event?
Seating at all events is limited. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early for all free events to minimize the possibility that venue seating will reach capacity before your arrival. We will make every effort to ensure that everyone who wishes to see a speaker is able to do so. Pre-registered guests who do not arrive within 10 minutes of show time may have their seats made available to those waiting in the registration line.
Do I have to wear my name badge?
Yes, please be sure to wear your name badge at all times as it contains a unique identifier which grants you access to those events on your schedule and all free events as part of your weekend pass. Some events require prior fee payment.
Is parking available?
River Campus parking is limited, especially when classes are in session on Friday, so we encourage you to take advantage of our shuttle service to and from campus lots. If you plan to come to campus Thursday evening, parking is open where legal spaces are available.
