Is there a Meliora Weekend App?

We have a special app to help you navigate through the weekend. It is available on both iOS and Android. Go to your app store and search for “Meliora Weekend” to download. Once downloaded, select Meliora Weekend 2019. Log in to the app by navigating to the Profile page at the bottom of the screen. Once there, click Log in in the top left, enter your name. You will be emailed a verification code to complete the process. Once logged in, you will be able to view your personalized itinerary for the weekend by selecting “My Schedule”. I have some particular needs related to accessibility. What should I do?

The University of Rochester is committed to making its campuses accessible to persons with disabilities, however at this time, not all areas are fully accessible. Please contact us if you have specific needs and we will assist you. We’ll also have maps of ADA accessibility at on-site registration during the weekend.

Is handicap parking available?

Yes. Once you arrive on campus, parking staff can direct you to the closest available handicap parking space. You must have a government-issued handicap parking sticker in order to utilize these spaces. If you request handicap parking when you register, we’ll provide you with more information closer to the weekend.

During the Weekend

What if I have an emergency or need first aid?

Pick up a Blue Light Emergency Phone or dial x13 from any other University phone. From an on-campus pay phone or your cell phone, dial (585) 275-3333.

What is a simulcast?

A simulcast is a closed-circuit broadcast of an event in real time, in a different location than the event itself. We offer simulcasts of some of our most highly-attended events to be sure that all Meliora Weekend attendees have the opportunity to partake in the events of their choice.

When should I arrive to an event?

Seating at all events is limited. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early for all free events to minimize the possibility that venue seating will reach capacity before your arrival. We will make every effort to ensure that everyone who wishes to see a speaker is able to do so. Pre-registered guests who do not arrive within 10 minutes of show time may have their seats made available to those waiting in the registration line.

Do I have to wear my name badge?

Yes, please be sure to wear your name badge at all times as it contains a unique identifier which grants you access to those events on your schedule and all free events as part of your weekend pass. Some events require prior fee payment.

Is parking available?

River Campus parking is limited, especially when classes are in session on Friday, so we encourage you to take advantage of our shuttle service to and from campus lots. If you plan to come to campus Thursday evening, parking is open where legal spaces are available.

Is transportation provided during the weekend?

Click here to view the parking and shuttle schedule.

Lost and Found

The River Campus Lost and Found is located in the Common Connection (Room 201) on the first level of Wilson Commons.

What is the standard dress during Meliora Weekend?

Where can I smoke during Meliora Weekend?

The University of Rochester campuses are smoke free except for designated areas.

Can I bring my pet to Meliora Weekend?

Unless the animal is certified as a service animal, university policy prohibits animals on University property. This policy is established to reduce the potential for health and safety problems.

When and where can I dine on campus?
