University’s Global Offices plan move to College Town

The new offices will have an entrance off of Celebration Drive. After the move, which is scheduled for the fall semester, ISO Student Services will hold River Campus and Eastman School of Music office hours to maintain accessibility to students.

Missy Pfohl Smith named director of Institute for the Performing Arts

The Institute for the Performing Arts was formed in 2015 to bring together the disciplines of music, theater, and dance into a collaborative venture. Smith, who also serves as the director of the Program of Movement and Dance, is appointed to a three-year term.

Schumer and Gillibrand announce $80 million for LLE in Senate bill

This Senate bill must now be reconciled with the House of Representatives’ bill, which included $68 million for LLE. Both bills reject the Administration’s budget request to cut the Lab’s FY19 funding dramatically and to phase out of all federal support for LLE in three years.

‘High-risk’ research receives University seed funding
