Milavec named associate VP for financial operations and controller
Elizabeth Milavec will serve as the primary administrative officer responsible for planning, developing, directing and maintaining the University’s systems of accounting, financial reporting and financial internal controls.

Defining the future of the School of Arts & Sciences
Gloria Culver was formally installed as dean of the School of Arts & Sciences during an investiture ceremony December 1 in the Interfaith Chapel. A professor of biology, Culver joined the Rochester faculty in 2007. During the ceremony, Culver talked about defining the School of Arts & Sciences—and charting its future.

Holly Crawford named University senior vice president, CFO, and treasurer
Holly G. Crawford has been named the University of Rochester’s senior vice president for administration and finance, chief financial officer and treasurer. University President and CEO Joel Seligman announced her appointments at an event on Oct. 21, and she will begin in the roles on Jan. 15, 2016.

Robert Clark named 10th University provost
Robert Clark (center) has been appointed provost, succeeding Provost Peter Lennie (left), who will step down in June 2016. University President and CEO Joel Seligman (right) announced the appointment today, adding that Clark will serve in the dual role of provost and senior vice president for research, and will step down from his current role as dean of the Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

New director appointed for Robbins Library, Koller-Collins Center
Marie L. Turner has been appointed director of the Rossell Hope Robbins Library and the Koller-Collins Center for English Studies at the River Campus Libraries. The Rossell Hope Robbins Library houses one of the most comprehensive medieval studies collections in North America.

Gloria Culver appointed dean of the School of Arts & Sciences
Gloria Culver has been appointed dean of the School of Arts & Sciences, effective immediately. Culver has been serving as interim dean since July 1, 2014.

Thomas Farrell to lead Advancement
Thomas J. Farrell ’88,’94 (MS) has been named to lead the University’s advancement effort, which is in the public phase of a $1.2 billion capital campaign. Farrell brings more than 24 years of advancement experience, which began in 1990 as class campaign fundraiser at the University.

Gloria Culver appointed interim dean of the School of Arts & Sciences
Culver, professor of biology, has chaired the department since 2010. She will take over from Joanna Olmsted, who is stepping down after seven years as dean of the school.

Rob Clark Named Senior VP for Research
Clark has also been appointed to a second, five-year term as dean of the Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
