Working together, making an impact

Students from the Program of Movement and Dance will present a recreation of the iconic 1960s work in the city of Rochester to inspire thought about the pandemic and the power of protest.

As the region’s largest employer and a member of the Rochester-Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative, the University is announcing its commitment to set its minimum wage at $15 per hour by December 2022.

The Rochester Center for Community Leadership’s new name reflects the center’s focus on connections with community partners.

The drive-thru event is the result of a collaboration between the University, the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County, Dairy Farmers of America, and local farmers.

Donated cloth masks will be distributed to employees carrying on the work needed to keep the University operational during the coronavirus crisis.

Rochester is among 119 colleges and universities to receive the elective designation that indicates institutional commitment to community engagement.
