David Greenbaum ’73 and his wife, Laureine, of New York City, have pledged $2.5 million toward the construction of a new 6,500-square-foot building on the University of Rochester’s River Campus to be named the Greenbaum Center for Jewish Life.

In recognition of her scholarship and teaching acumen, Nora Rubel has been named the inaugural holder of the Jane and Alan Batkin Endowed Professorship in Jewish Studies.

In recognition of a gift from University trustee Stephen Biggar ’92 and his wife, Elisabeth Asaro-Biggar ’92—both former varsity soccer players— the entryway to Genesee Hall and the Boehning Varsity House will be named the Big “R” Atrium.

The gift to the University’s Simon Business School reflects the late Rajesh Wadhawan’s personal interest in empowering societies through fair access to credit.

The gift will support the creation and implementation of the iZone, a collaborative, technology-rich space that will provide students with programs, services, and resources to explore their ideas and develop innovative projects for social, cultural, community, and economic impact.

Evans and Susanna Lam have committed $1 million to the River Campus Libraries to establish the Evans and Susanna Lam Library Revitalization Fund. The fund will support the modernization of the patron services area in Rush Rhees Library, which will be named Evans Lam Square.

The Institute for Data Science and the Golisano Children’s Hospital campaign are flagships of the $1.2 billion goal for The Meliora Challenge: The Campaign for the University of Rochester.

The Brian F. Prince Athletic Complex will encompass and improve Fauver Stadium, the baseball field area, the Lyman Outdoor Tennis Center, and the north field practice area.
