Research Subjects Review Board (RSRB)
The RSRB is the University’s Institutional Review Board (IRB). The RSRB reviews all human subject research conducted or supported by employees or agents of the University of Rochester.
About Us
The Office for Human Subject Protection (OHSP) supports the administration of the University of Rochester’s Human Research Protection Program (UR-HRPP). We are:
- Committed to protecting the rights, dignity and welfare of human subjects
- Guided by the ethical principles described in the Belmont Report
- Collaborative in nature, coordinating with several other departments and institutional committees that provide research oversight and support
- Accredited through the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP)
- A SmartIRB participating institution
