Updates in Procurement and Supply Chain

University Print Program transitioning to Toshiba 

 

 

The University has signed a new agreement with Toshiba to provide multifunction print devices (copiers) for the Print Program, replacing Xerox equipment as current leases expire. The change will happen gradually over the next several years. No action is needed at this time, and departments will be contacted as their devices approach lease end. Hospital Epic printing is not affected. Desktop print-only devices (HP/Brother fleet) are not changing at this time. Details and FAQ’s are linked here.

Tariff Guidance

 

Newly announced tariffs and a turbulent market has led to an increase in supplier requests for price adjustments. Please note that we should not accept any price increases without proper justification from the suppliers.

Important: Guidelines for Responding to Supplier Price Increase Requests Tied to Iran Conflict

 

 

As you are all aware, the recent Middle East conflict involving Iran has raised concerns about potential implications for healthcare supply costs and supply chain continuity. In fact, we have already received some requests from suppliers asking for energy surcharges or price increases on certain products.

Please note that we should not accept any price increases without proper justification from the suppliers.
