  • Eligibility is verified by Human Resources prior to the election

Serving on the Council

Being a representative of the Genesee Staff Council involves a time commitment, and it is suggested that staff interested in serving discuss this interest with their supervisors before applying. All supervisors have been charged to support and encourage participation in the Genesee Staff Council for both hourly and salaried employees.

The time commitment for representatives will be a minimum of approximately eight hours per month, which includes attending monthly Genesee Staff Council meetings and sitting on one of the Council committees; but this could vary depending on any Council committees a representative may be involved with. Council co-chairs could expect significantly more time commitments.

Being a Genesee Staff Council representative means you are willing to participate in events and support the Council’s efforts to engage with staff in a multitude of ways.
