Rochester Scholars

Background on Program

Rochester Scholars is the University of Rochester’s pre-college, academic program that offers high school students a chance to experience college life and explore new careers.

The program is for students in grades 9 – 12 and began in 1990.

Students enroll in mini-courses, reflective of fields of study at the University of Rochester or other higher education institutions.

Students interact with peers from area schools and get a taste of the college experience in a fun-filled and challenging setting.

Books, supplies, and lunch are included in the price of tuition.
