Rochester Scholars Jr.

Background on Program

Rochester Scholars Jr. is an exciting program that offers middle school students (grades 6 – 8) the chance to take an interactive, fun and challenging course and explore the real world on a college campus.

The program is offered during winter, spring and summer breaks, and affords just the right mix of intellectual stimulation, academic freedom and gentle guidance and support from qualified faculty and instructors.

Students choose from courses like Build a Mobile Robot, The World of Magic, and Authors of Tomorrow: A Course in Creative Writing, along with many other subjects.

Students have the opportunity to interact with similarly bright and motivated peers during class and lunch times, which include supervised activities.

All classes meet for one week from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
