Academic Programs for Your Grandchildren!
Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) Informational Session
Does your grandchild (currently in grades 5-11) have a great business idea? Does he or she want to take it to the next level? Consider the Young Entrepreneurs Academy! YEA! is an intensive nine-month program that teaches middle and high school students how to start and run their own real businesses. Students brainstorm business ideas, write business plans, file DBAs, design a company brand and logo, pitch their businesses to potential investors, and actually launch their businesses. All of the learning is real and experiential. Applications for the YEA! Class of 2008-2009 are being accepted now through May 1, 2008.
If you are interested in learning or contributing to the program, you can attend one of our upcoming YEA! Informational Sessions on April 24, 2008, at either the U of R or SUNY Geneseo. There you can meet a recent graduate, and hear first-hand about his experiences and businesses.
The sessions are free and open to students, their families, and educators. Call the Young Entrepreneurs Academy at (585) 275-6902 to RSVP today!
If you are interested in participating, please print and fill out the YEA! involvement form.
Return the completed form to the Office of Special Programs via fax: (585) 461-5901 or mail: YEA! Involvement / 127 Lattimore Hall / Box 270358 / Rochester, NY 14627.
