Programs for Senior Citizens
Education is a life-changing, life-long endeavor. Regardless of your age, we have opportunities designed especially for you.
- Adult Education
- The Office of Special Programs offers a broad range of non-credit courses, seminars, workshops, and events, primarily in the liberal arts, designed to enhance the learning and enrich the lives of people in the Rochester Area. Our distinguished faculty, motivated students, and innovative programs create a rich and flexible learning environment reflective of the University of Rochester's tradition of academic excellence.
- Courses for Audit
- Many courses offered each fall, spring, and summer are available for audit. When auditing a class, you may participate in class sessions, coursework, homework, and tests, earning neither a grade nor credit. You choose your level of involvement and do as much or as little as you wish!
- Senior Citizen and Alumni Discounts
- Senior citizens (age 60 & over) and Alumni may deduct $250.00 from the cost of each credit-bearing course and $100.00 per Audit course if they are a non-matriculated student.
- Alumni, age 60 & over, may deduct $500.00 from the cost of each credit-bearing course and $200 per Audit course if they are a non-matriculated student.
- These discounts apply only to courses offered by The College (Arts & Sciences, Engineering and Applied Sciences) and the School of Medicine and Dentistry.
- Non-credit courses are as individually priced.
