Diversity Roundtable Mission
The College Diversity Roundtable (CDR) Committee, appointed by the Dean of the College, is charged with establishing an educational forum/exchange by which diversity, in all its complexity and multi-facted dimensions, can be supported and affirmed. The Committee consists of faculty, staff and students and is co-chaired by Beth Olivares and Norman Burnett.
The CDR is structured as a student-centered task force where campus climate and quality of life issues and/or concerns can be voiced, heard, and acted upon, especially those affecting racial, ethnic and cultural groups on campus. The Diversity Roundtable can also serve as a focal point for diversity discussions, initiatives and best practices.
Diversity Resource Guide
The Diversity Resource Guide was created by the CDR and is intended to be used as a practical guide to increasing personal understanding and appreciation of diversity, and to actively engage our student body in the work of promoting an inclusive and positive climate for all University of Rochester students.
