The University of Rochester Symphony Orchestra will perform at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester’s River Campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
David Harman, professor of music and director of orchestral activities, will conduct the orchestra in a program featuring Brahms’ Symphony no. 2, opus 73, Schumann’s Concerto for Piano, and Roman Carnival Overture by Berlioz.
Formed in 1956, the University of Rochester Symphony Orchestra continues a tradition of joyful performances of masterworks of the symphonic repertoire. Comprised of 100 members, the symphony orchestra is a blend of university undergraduate and graduate students as well as talented community musicians from the greater Rochester area.
