University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Singers Concert
TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in Strong Auditorium on the University’s River Campus

The University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Singers ensembles will present a joint concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in Strong Auditorium on the River Campus.
The groups will perform Mendelssohn’s Psalm 115 for chorus and orchestra, the Serenade in D by Brahms, and the first movement of Paul Creston’s Marimba Concerto.
The University of Rochester Chamber Orchestra is a 40-member group composed of students of diverse academic backgrounds. In addition to presenting four free concerts each year on the River Campus, the orchestra performs in the community and has toured abroad in Italy, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands. The ensemble is directed by Professor of Music David Harman.
The University of Rochester Chamber Singers is a select chorale ensemble dedicated to the performance of all periods and styles of quality choral literature. The group’s director is Assistant Professor of Music L. Brett Scott.
