Presentation on "Becoming Part of the Community Development Process: The Rochester Children's Zone" with Jana Carlisle, chief planning officer for the Rochester City School District. Second in a series of Urban Teaching and Leadership Forums sponsored by the Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the University of Rochester.
Rochester Children's Zone is an initiative for northeast Rochester where Schools 6, 8, 9, 22, 36, and 45 are located. The area is home to more than 2,600 children and has the city's highest rates of poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, and crime.
