
Celebrating Achievement
Congratulations to all of the award winners listed below and to all of the organizations that enhanced the community this year through their creativity and innovation.

Delta Upsilon Fraternity and Sorority Achievement Award
Awarded to a student who uses involvement in the fraternity and sorority community to promote a cause he or she is personally passionate about. Presented to Kelly Scull, Sigma Delta Tau.

Order of Omega Rising Leader Award
Awarded to a sophomore student who embodies the principles of scholarship, leadership, and service on which the Order of Omega was founded. Presented to David Stark, Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Expectations for Excellence: Scholarship
Alpha Phi was recognized for its creative re-imagining of typical chapter activities to strengthen sisters’ intellectual enrichment. In particular, the optional big-little sister program was an excellent and unique opportunity for the members to build relationships based on academics.

Expectations for Excellence: Character & Values
Sigma Phi Epsilon was recognized for its strong focus on aligning members’ activities with the chapter’s values. Through strong focus on intrinsic values, the fraternity creates an environment where members are able to move through the three stages of development: Sigma, Phi, and Epsilon.

Expectations for Excellence: Character & Values
Delta Gamma was also recognized for a strong focus on aligning members’ activities with the chapter’s values. Through strong systems of accountability and rewards, Delta Gamma creates an environment where members are encouraged to uphold the Five Points of the Star.

Expectations for Excellence: Leadership & Organizational Management
Kappa Delta was recognized for the thoughtfulness, efficiency, and effectiveness of internal affairs. In particular, their utilization of their Chapter Advisory Board helps them receive advice and counseling on leadership development within the organization.

Expectations for Excellence: Community Building & Programming
Delta Phi Omega was recognized for its diverse and collaborative effort to community service, philanthropy, and multicultural involvement. This was demonstrated through events such as Be the Change Day and Literacy Through Unity Month. The organization is also committed to the incorporation of the five pillars of Delta Phi Omega into all programming.

Awards for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning
The award for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning is the highest honor a chapter can receive through the Expectations for Excellence awards process. The chapters receiving this award will have incorporated strong, action-oriented goals to achieve success in each area of the Expectations for Excellence, both in the written document and in the chapter’s actions throughout the year. Sigma Lambda Upsilon was recognized from the Multicultural Greek Council.

Awards for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning
The award for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning is the highest honor a chapter can receive through the Expectations for Excellence awards process. The chapters receiving this award will have incorporated strong, action-oriented goals to achieve success in each area of the Expectations for Excellence, both in the written document and in the chapter’s actions throughout the year. Sigma Delta Tau was recognized from the Panhellenic Association.

Awards for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning
The award for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning is the highest honor a chapter can receive through the Expectations for Excellence awards process. The chapters receiving this award will have incorporated strong, action-oriented goals to achieve success in each area of the Expectations for Excellence, both in the written document and in the chapter’s actions throughout the year. Phi Kappa Tau was recognized from the Interfraternity Council.
In addition to individual awards presented by Sigma Nu, Delta Upsilon, and the Order of Omega honor society, chapter awards were presented in the four areas of the Expectations for Excellence as well for Overall Excellence in Strategic Planning.
