Collaborations between clinicians and
researchers have been the cornerstone to

musculoskeletal research. It is my hope that
through philanthropy, these successes will

continue to grow and provide the necessary
training for the next generation of

orthopaedic surgeons.”

Today, it includes 77 investigators and 126 pre- and post-
doctoral trainees. The Center has seen a number of successes,
and many of them were the result of Randy’s pursuit of
collaborations across clinical and research departments.

Randy witnessed the importance of these collaborations and
decided to continue his legacy at the University of Rochester
with a charitable gift annuity. The gift, which will support the
University while supplying a stream of income for Randy, includes
a fund for the Department of Orthopaedics. This will support
residents and fellows by offering additional research funds to
enhance their educational experiences. Since establishing the
fund, Randy has been excited by the potential of its growth
and the support that it will offer to future investigators.
