Message From Your Reunion Committee
What a spectacular Class of 1968 Reunion!
To those members of the Class of 1968 who traveled from near and far to attend our Reunion, we are so glad you were able to make it to campus for this extraordinary event. How amazing is it to celebrate our time in Rochester? Meliora Weekend afforded us the opportunity to revel in the memories of our own experiences and the relationships we made, and see how the University is flourishing now.
We came, we schmoozed, and we enjoyed! Old friendships were strengthened, new friendships began, and contacts were established. All this on a wonderful fall weekend with seamless shuttle rides across the University, scintillating conversations, entertaining personalities, GREAT music from the YellowJackets, Eastman musicians, and Pink Martini, made possible by our class volunteers and outstanding support from the alumni relations staff.
As with most Meliora Weekends, it seems as if there isn’t enough time to partake in all the events on campus. We gathered at three different dinners and breakfasts, were toured around campus by our wonderful student alumni ambassadors, honored by University President Richard Feldman in our Medallion Ceremony, and shared our experiences at our class conversations. It looked like there was lots of exchanging email addresses and cell phone numbers at the end of the weekend. Hopefully, the relationships that were made or rekindled will be supported in the years to come.
It is clear that the University has a commitment to support alumni engagement. Most of us reside in areas where there are lots of interesting events for us. Stay abreast of those and let's have lots of mini-reunions prior to 2023. For those that attended, reach out to your friends who were unable to make the celebration and encourage them to attend future University events in their area. Let's build upon this marvelous experience!

As new members of the Medallion alumni community (those who have already celebrated their 50th reunion), we hope you will find an opportunity to stay engaged with the University that is meaningful to you. We hope to see you at our 55th Reunion, October 5-8, 2023! In the meantime, stay connected by joining our Class of 1968 Facebook group.
Until we see each other again, Meliora!
