EVENT: Performance by The Second City comedy troupe's national touring company

TIME, DATE, AND PLACE: 8:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus

ADMISSION: $10 for the general public; $5 for University of Rochester undergraduate students; $8 for University of Rochester graduate students, faculty, and staff. Tickets available at the Common Market in Wilson Commons on the River Campus. Note: Parking is available on University lots on weekends.

Chicago's legendary comedy theater The Second City will appear at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, in Strong Auditorium on the University of Rochester's River Campus. The show will feature sketches, songs, and improvisations from The Second City's 40-year history.

Tickets for the performance are $10 for the general public, $5 for University of Rochester undergraduate students, and $8 for University of Rochester graduate students, faculty, and staff. They can be purchased at the Common Market in Wilson Commons Student Activities and Campus Activities Board. For more information, call (585) 275-5911. Commons on the River Campus. Doors to the auditorium will open at 7:30 p.m. on the night of the performance.

Second City has been the training ground for many actors and comedians who built careers in television, nightclubs, or film: Dan Aykroyd, Ann Meara, Bill Murray, Mike Meyers, Joan Rivers, Martin Short, George Wendt, the late Gilda Radner, and countless others.
