Vocal Point Serenades White House

Eleven undergraduate members of the University of Rochester’s all-female a cappella group Vocal Point have been invited to the White House to perform classic and contemporary holiday songs on the morning of Saturday, Dec. 8.

Justice Under Siege? Increasing Threats to Judicial Independence

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend a lecture, “Justice Under Siege? Increasing Threats to Judicial Independence,” with U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan ’66 of the Southern District of New York. The event begins at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Hawkins-Carlson Room in Rush Rhees Library. A reception will follow in The Meliora, Salon D.

EVENT: University of Rochester’s Kearns Center Celebrates Two Milestones

This October, the David T. Kearns Center for Leadership & Diversity in Arts, Sciences & Engineering will mark the 10th anniversary of its founding and the 20th anniversary of the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. The center also celebrates three new grants totaling $3.9 million for its Upward Bound and McNair programs.
