The first co-chairs of the University’s new Genesee Staff Council share two main goals: better communication in the present, and a solid foundation for the future.

Todd Krauss, professor and chair of the Department of Chemistry, and Benjamin Miller, Dean’s Professor of Dermatology, are being recognized this year for their “efforts toward advancing scientific applications that are deemed scientifically or socially distinguished.”

In a ceremony filled with tradition, music, laughter, and optimism, Sarah C. Mangelsdorf was formally invested Friday afternoon as the University of Rochester’s 11th president. “The University of Rochester was built by the people of Rochester,” she said in her inaugural address. “We are not just a University in this community. We are a University of this community.”
