The University is launching the web portal detailing the 2018–2025 strategic planning process, describing the working groups that will address the plan's broader goals, and encouraging input and ideas from the University community.

In recognition of her scholarship and teaching acumen, Nora Rubel has been named the inaugural holder of the Jane and Alan Batkin Endowed Professorship in Jewish Studies.

President and CEO Joel Seligman has outlined several steps the University will take to review the institution’s policies on sexual harassment and misconduct and to address claims of retaliation when complaints are made against the University. Seligman made the announcement on Tuesday, September 12, as part of a public Town Hall meeting attended by more than 500 students, faculty, and other members of the University community.

Sefkow, an assistant professor of mechanical engineering and senior scientist at the University’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics, has received a prestigious Early Career Research Program award from the US Department of Energy and the Fusion Power Associates 2017 Excellence in Fusion Engineering Award.

A professor of psychology in the Department of Clinical and Social Sciences in Psychology, Klorman also served as the director of clinical training for the doctoral program in clinical psychology, fostering the development and careers of countless students.
