Richard Feldman, dean of the College, announces the appointment of Christine Rovet as executive director of Event and Classroom Management.

Rovet joins the University from the Genesee Country Village & Museum, where she was the senior director of administration and guest relations. Her background is in non-for-profit management, operations, and event planning. At the museum she was responsible for day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning and long-term organizational growth.

As executive director of Event and Classroom Management, Rovet will be responsible for the overall management and organization of activities and staff associated with event planning and event support, event space utilization, student events, and classroom technology support in Arts, Sciences & Engineering. Event and Classroom Management provides streamlined services to support faculty, staff, and students. In addition to managing classroom spaces and technology, event planning and logistics, on-site logistical and technical support for events, the group is responsible for and coordination of high profile University events such as commencement.

“I very much look forward to working with Christine,” says Feldman. “She brings a strong combination of related experience from her work at the museum and enthusiasm for the role. She is just the right person to move this dynamic team forward.”

Rovet will join the University January 3.
