University of Rochester’s Program of Dance and Movement’s presents When the Souls Rise, an original production that celebrates Halloween through dance, music, and drama. This is the first time the show will be performed at a university.

The International Theatre Program kicks off its 26th season on Thursday, Oct. 8 with a rare stage production of Dylan Thomas’ play, Under Milk Wood. Originally written for radio in the 1950s as a “play for voices,” Under Milk Wood was the only play Thomas ever completed.

Nearly 1,300 freshmen forming the Class of 2019 moved in to their new homes on the University’s River Campus and Eastman School of Music this week. The incoming class comes from 47 states and 83 countries. At both Eastman and River Campus, current students were on hand to welcome and assist their new classmates as they got their first taste of their new home. Welcome to Rochester, Class of 2019!

Save the dates: Move In Day and Wilson Day at the University of Rochester
As students return to the University of Rochester campus later this month, two scheduled events may be newsworthy: Tuesday, Aug. 25 is Freshman Move In Day. Thursday, Aug. 27 is Wilson Day, a day of community service for incoming University students.
