Overview

The University of Rochester provides students, adult learners, business professionals, educators, and the community the opportunity to take classes on a part-time basis for intellectual enrichment or professional development.

Non-matriculated (non-degree-seeking) students have an opportunity to try out various programs of study or just enjoy a class for personal enrichment. If you later decide to apply to a degree program, up to six courses taken when non-matriculated can be transferred into that program.

Taking a class as a non-matriculated student offers you the chance to:

  • Earn college credit
  • Take a class that will help you in your current or future career
  • Try something new
