We must do more than listen to those who have been underserved for far too long. It’s time for action.
Recruiting a diverse faculty is a priority. Faculty fellows, visiting scholars, and cluster hires can create a more supportive academic environment. We need the resources to meet this objective. We also hope to increase financial aid to recruit and support a more diverse and inclusive student body.
Travon Walker ’21E, an aspiring opera singer, recently launched a crowdfunding project designed to introduce middle and high school students to classical music composed by Black, Indigenous, and people of color.
