- Henry Lab (Schwartz Discover Grant) — Dr. Kenneth Henry: Auditory neuroscience and computational modeling, using Wiener kernel analysis to characterize linear and nonlinear neural processing.
- Carney Lab — Dr. Laurel Carney: Neural engineering and auditory neuroscience, investigating auditory midbrain coding through electrophysiological recordings and computational analysis.

What advice do you have for prospective or new researchers?
Getting into research is not always easy, and figuring out what you actually want to pursue can be even more challenging. Be kind to yourself throughout the process, your path probably won’t be as linear as you expect, so stay open to new experiences, talk to peers, lab members, and PIs, attend events, and take time to reflect on what genuinely interests you. Don’t sell yourself short; if you’re curious about a lab but unsure whether it’s right for you, ask for a lab tour or conversation. Most labs list their members online, so if you can’t reach the PI, reach out to undergraduate or graduate researchers, they can be an incredible resource for learning what the lab is really like.
