What advice do you have for prospective or new researchers?
Getting into research as a first year or sophmore can feel daunting. My advice to new researchers is begin reaching out to professors early, even if you do not feel you have an excess of time for research. PI's can be quite flexible as long as you communicate your schedule early and often. Getting your foot in the door early on is invaluable to exploring and honing your research interests thoughout undergrad.
