What advice do you have for prospective or new researchers?
Firstly, it's totally okay to start off with a broad set of interests. You don't need a niche focus to get involved with research; starting in a lab that generally interests you will give you direction and allow your interests to unfold and get more specific over time. Additionally, don't feel like you need to build an extremely strong skillset before you can get involved in research! You can start research at any point, with any amount of experience, and you will get to build those foundational skills along the way. Getting involved is the first step!
