- My research interests include biomedical optics, peripheral nerve imaging, and optical engineering, under the mentorship of Wayne Knox in the Knox Lab at the Institute of Optics, as well as molecular biology and erythropoiesis with Laurie Steiner in the Steiner Lab within the Department of Pediatrics.

What advice do you have for prospective or new researchers?
My biggest piece of advice is to be willing to ask questions, even when you feel like you should already know the answer. Research is a learning process, and making mistakes or not understanding something right away is completely normal. I would also encourage new researchers to be patient and open-minded, because your research may change directions as you learn more. Most importantly, find a mentor and research environment where you feel comfortable learning, contributing, and growing.
